Planting Black Walnut

Dave moved the planter to Black Walnut to start planting today. We aren't going to work the ground. He is just going to plant and then spray for the few weeds that are there. Everything has been so wet even the weeds aren't growing. You can see how small they are in the pictures. That field was horrible with mares tail last year and there are only a few this year. Last year we had it sprayed and we still had to go out and chop them.

Here are pictures of the slough which, according to Dave, is full of water. No surprise there. I didn't have time to walk all the way there because it was getting dark.

More Black Walnut pictures to come.

Well got to go meet the Crop Insurance lady at the Bethmann Farm. Here are a couple of pictures to refresh your memory of the 5.2" rain on May 25th.

Soggy, Soggy Spring,
Love,
Mickey
