Flooding

As I said in the last posting it is flooding. They are now predicting 39.2'. That is only .4' less than the Great Flood of 1993. My family and our friends have all been spending a lot of long hours with us.

On Thursday we got the house and some of the shed unloaded and moved into storage. My family all helped. Some called for sandbags and storage units while others helped pack or watched the river stages. We also had friends and a duck hunter and even my cousin Chuck showed up. We are so very blessed to have so many people help us. Here is a picture of us after we unloaded the basement. It was breaktime.

Dave is busy planting to beat the water.

This is the International loaded with duck decoys.

Here are some of the people who were there on Friday to unload at the storage place.

Here is a picture of the water at Hwy C toward 80 Club 4pm today. Our fields are going under. To late to plant.

Dave. Howie and Rick Seamen are getting the dual back on the tractors.

Howie and Dave are moving the Dodge to high ground by Hwy 79.

Well I am going to bed. We are meeting everyone out there at 6 am. I will post more pictures when I can.
Love,
Mickey
