Welcome to week 5 of Duck Season.
Laure is enjoying this year of duck hunting with her dad. Thank God this isn't a beauty pageant. She could never win with an outfit like this.

She took some pics of this eagle flying while they were hunting.

The weather is changing with temperatures dropping. Dave ran the irrigation tubing out to #5 blind in the East Lake to keep the water open.
We thought yesterday, 12-5, was going to be good but the afternoon on the East Lake was slow. Dave and I had a shot at 2 ducks. Tom called them in wonderfully but they wanted our side of the lake. I think my shells must have been old because I didn't hit anything. It couldn't be operator error. Ha-Ha!!
The guys on the New lake did better. They got several ducks and a goose too. Way to go!!Today snow, freezing rain, and sleet moving
in. I hope it is better hunting in the East Lake today. Dave is headed out now.
Have a good week.
Happy Fall! It feels more like winter now.
Love,
Mickey
